RICHMOND, Ky. – Three Eastern Kentucky University student-athletes helped celebrate the community service efforts of local Madison County schools last Thursday.
Seniors Tess Akgunduz (soccer) and Candice Biltz (volleyball) and junior Jared McClain (football) celebrated with local elementary and middle school students who collected soda tabs to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House charities.
Akgunduz, Biltz and McLain handed out pom-poms and inked the students with (temporary) tattoos.
Richmond mayor Jim Barnes also joined the fun to congratulate the winning school – Clark Moores Middle – for its efforts.
