About:
The hallways and classrooms of Floral Park-Bellerose School were covered in orange, as both students and staff dressed in the bright color to show that they are united against bullying on Unity Day, Oct. 20.
A schoolwide project, spearheaded by art teacher Amanda Ellis, had students contribute messages of kindness on leaves that were put on display on a tree in the main hallway. Classes also participated in other anti-bullying activities, such as creating an orange paper chain with phrases of kindness.
