About:
Student council members at Marion Street Elementary School in the Lynbrook Public Schools recently organized two Valentine’s Day initiatives leading up to the holiday of love and friendship. Remote and in-person students in grades 1-5 created hundreds of beautiful Valentine’s Day cards to give to local veterans. The cards were delivered to assemblywoman Judy Griffin to distribute. In addition, the student council hosted a Valentine’s Spirit Day where the school community showed their spirit for the holiday by wearing pink and red.
