About:
PPE Donation Drive that is being sponsored by the athletic departments of Notre Dame Academy of Worcester and Saint Johns of Shrewsbury.
Three student-athletes from both NDA and SJ were inspired to support communities who are transitioning back to in-person learning and may not have the ease of access to items like child’s face masks, adult face masks, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes and gloves. These student-athletes are spearheading the efforts among the teams and communities to raise awareness and collect necessary items for students who are returning back to in-person learning.
Collectively these student-athletes from NDA and SJ are marketing this drive among their community to collect PPE that will be donated to select after school programs, shelters and schools in Central Mass. The cutoff date for collections was April 15th, so that the student-athletes from both NDA and Saint John’s could meet to sort through donations and organize donation boxes to drop off as students were returning back to school after April Vacation. The locations of the drop offs were:
Boys and Girls Club, Worcester
Girls Inc., Worcester
Rainbow Child Development Academy, Worcester
SJ student-athletes Kwame Adu-Gyamfi ’22, Nolan Davis ’22, and Jason Sutkaitis ’22, in collaboration with student-athletes from Notre Dame Academy, Molly Humphrey ’22, Sydney Sims ’22 and Agnes McDonald ’22 spearheaded this drive.
