About:
West Islip High School’s Peanut Butter and Jelly Gang struck again, succeeding in their annual holiday initiative to help feed New York City’s homeless.
Stemming from the ranks of the school’s West Islip Students with HEARTT community group, the students made, bagged and handed out 450 peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunches this November to appreciative hungry and homeless people in need. Led by group founder Virginia Scudder, the HEARTT students were assisted in making the lunches by LI Ninjitsu Center instructor Shihan Allie and his students.
