Bethpage High School’s boys and girls volleyball programs, along with the Explorations Club, recently donated $2,500 to Dig Pink. Dig Pink is a program associated with the Side-Out Foundation, a nonprofit research organization committed to providing life-extending solutions for those with stage IV breast cancer.
The teams managed to raise money through their annual Dig Pink games. All four teams sold pink T-shirts that read, “In This Family, No One Fights Alone,” in addition to pink wristbands and pink-themed baked goods. During all four games, the gym was packed with fans wearing pink, all rallying to support breast cancer awareness.
Dig Pink brings together players, coaches, parents and communities, all committed to being a voice for the underserved and bettering the lives of the stage IV community.
